Beethoven es ampliamente considerado como uno de los más grandes compositores de la historia. Dio su primera actuación en público como pianista, cuando sólo tenía 8 años. Estudió en Viena bajo la dirección de Mozart. Para la edad de 25 años se había ganado un nombre para sí mismo como un gran pianista conocido por improvisaciones imprevisibles y brillante. En el año 1796 Beethoven comenzó a perder su audición. A pesar de su enfermedad, se sumergió en su trabajo y creó algunas de las más grandes obras de la música. Las mejores obras de Beethoven, son también las mejores obras de su género en la historia de la música: la 9 ª Sinfonía, el 5° Piano Concerto, el Concierto para violín, los últimos cuartetos y su Missa Solemnis. Y logró todo esto a pesar de estar completamente sordo durante los últimos 25 años de su vida, mas o menos.

Beethoven is widely considered to be one of the greatest composers in history. He gave his first public performance as a pianist, when he was only 8 years old. He studied in Vienna under the direction of Mozart. By the age of 25 he had earned a name for himself as a great pianist known for unpredictable and brilliant improvisations. In the year 1796 Beethoven began to lose his hearing. Despite his illness, he immersed himself in his work and created some of the greatest works of music. The best works of Beethoven, are also the best works of its kind in the history of music: the 9th Symphony, the 5th Piano Concerto, the Violin Concerto, the last quartets and his Missa Solemnis. And he achieved all this despite being completely deaf during the last 25 years of his life, more or less.
