REFLEXIÓN SOBRE EL AUTISMO

Estimados amigos y familiares, hoy 2 de abril es el DÍA INTERNACIONAL DEL AUTISMO, como bien saben mi hijo Saúl tiene esa condición.

Hace un poco más de 9 años que empezamos a conocer el autismo y a buscar la mejor manera de que mi hijo se integre en la sociedad, hemos avanzado así como otras familias, pero lamentablemente la sociedad no responde, no acepta las diferencias.

Como a todos nadie nos enseñó a ser padres, al igual que ustedes aprendemos en el camino y al igual que ustedes compartimos un mismo tema, QUE SERA DE NUESTROS HIJOS CUANDO YA NO ESTEMOS.

Ninguno es eterno, entonces parte de la solución es formar una sociedad menos violenta, más sensible y justa. Tenemos una oportunidad única e irrepetible, ahora que nuestros  niños son pequeños, enseñémosle pero de verdad, no solo de palabras sino con hechos, que las personas todas sin excepción, tenemos los mismos derechos sin importar su condición (flaco, gordo, negro, blanco, chino, autista, down). Estas diferencias nos hacen únicos y enriquecen nuestra vida. He tenido la oportunidad de escuchar a mamas reclamando a la profesora porque un niño con habilidades especiales está en el salón de sus hijos, ni siquiera le dan la oportunidad. Es muy triste tener que luchar para que tu hijo tenga acceso a un derecho fundamental como a la educación, como lo tiene tus hijos, cual es la diferencia, que es lo que los horroriza, hasta ahora no lo entiendo. Hagan un ejercicio y pónganse en mi lugar o en el lugar de muchos padres de niños con habilidades especiales, y si fuera tu hijo que harías tú?

Es por eso que dedico estas líneas, el autismo no se contagia, afecta habilidades de comunicación y sociabilización, no pedimos tu compasión solo que te informes. Gracias

Dear friends and family, today April 2 is the INTERNATIONAL DAY OF AUTISM, as you know my son Saul has that condition.

A little over 9 years ago we started to know about autism and to find the best way for my son to integrate into society, we have advanced as well as other families, but unfortunately society does not respond, does not accept differences.

As everyone taught us to be parents, just as we learn along the way and like you share the same theme, WHICH WILL BE OF OUR CHILDREN WHEN WE ARE NO LONGER.

None is eternal, so part of the solution is to form a less violent, more sensible and just society. We have a unique and unrepeatable opportunity, now that our children are young, let's teach them but really, not only words but also facts, that people without exception, we have the same rights regardless of their condition (skinny, fat, black, white , Chinese, autistic, down). These differences make us unique and enrich our life. I have had the opportunity to listen to moms claiming the teacher because a child with special abilities is in their children's classroom, they do not even give him the opportunity. It is very sad to have to fight so that your son has access to a fundamental right as to education, as your children have, what is the difference, which is what horrifies them, until now I do not understand it. Do an exercise and put yourself in my place or in the place of many parents of children with special abilities, and if it were your son you would do yours?

That is why I dedicate these lines, autism is not contagious, it affects communication and socialization skills, we do not ask for your compassion, just inform you. Thank you
